How a single “thank you” can drive sales

Fact: The best way to sell your book is not to sell at all. Saying “thanks for supporting me” is more effective than saying “buy my book.” Use your author newsletter to send a message of gratitude announcing your first sale, and keep your readers engaged with your progress.

Here’s an example of what a thank you message might look like:

Dear [Name],
I’m writing to say thank you. I just found out that people have officially bought my book! Whether it was you or someone you spread the word to, I’m sincerely grateful for your support. Thanks again for helping me become a successfully published author. Looking forward to what’s next!
