Pronoun sends monthly payments via PayPal 60 days after each calendar month. January earnings are sent in April, February earnings in May, and so on.
Payments are sent on the first business day of the month. Your Earnings page always shows Pronoun’s next payment date.
Pronoun sends payments through PayPal. To make sure you receive your earnings, please add the email address associated with your PayPal account to your Pronoun settings. (If you don’t have a PayPal account yet, it’s free to sign up.)
There’s a 3% PayPal processing fee per payment, up to $2 for US accounts and $20 for international accounts. This fee applies to your overall monthly earnings, not each individual sale. For example, if you have a US account and earn $1,000 from book sales one month, PayPal takes $2 from that deposit.
Your Earnings page breaks down your net sales and when you were paid (or will be paid) those monthly earnings. You can download earning reports by clicking the PDF and XLS statement links for each month.
Go to Your Earnings page and click the “Payments” tab. Here, you’ll see all the earnings Pronoun has sent you in PayPal. This table breaks down:
Preorder earnings are sent after the preorder period ends, since readers don’t pay for preorder books until release. The first payment you get after your book’s release will include all preorder sales as well as any post-preorder sales for that month in one lump sum.
Amazon is the only retailer that sends us audited sales information including $0 sales, so free downloads on the other retailers won’t appear in your Pronoun earning statements.
If your earnings are $0 due to free book sales, we don’t send a PayPal deposit.
