You can preview your new .epub and .mobi files using these instructions.

On Your PC
In order to preview your book on your computer, you’ll need to install a reading app. We recommend Kindle for PC, available for quick and free download.
- Download Kindle for PC for free
- Download the Kindle version of your book (the .mobi file) to your computer
- Double click the file to open using Kindle for PC

On Your Mac
If you have OS X 10.9 Mavericks or later, we recommend using the iBooks app (which comes pre-installed on your computer and is also available for free download). If you have an earlier version of OS, we recommend using Kindle for Mac.
You can see which version of OS X you’re using by clicking on the apple icon () on your desktop’s upper left corner and selecting About This Mac.
If using OS X 10.9 Mavericks or later:
- Download the .epub file to your computer
- Double click the file to read in the iBooks app
If using OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or older:
- Download Kindle for Mac for free
- Download the Kindle version of your book (the .mobi file) to your computer
- Double click the file to open using Kindle for Mac

On Your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch
You can preview your book on your iOS device using the free iBooks app (which you can download from iTunes for free if your device doesn’t come with the app pre-installed).
If you are on your iOS device:
- Open the email we send with links to your preview files on your iOS email app
- Click on the “epub” link to download the .epub file
- You will be redirected to Safari when the file downloads
- When prompted, select Open in iBooks
Important: If you are previewing your converted .epub files currently in production, please note that iOS devices cache CSS. Before downloading an updated .epub file, delete the old .epub file from your iBooks library and switch your device off and on again. Otherwise, you may not see updates.

On Your Kindle
To preview your book on your Kindle, we recommend manually transferring the .mobi file to your Kindle:
- Download the Kindle version of your book (the .mobi file) to your computer
- Connect the Kindle to your computer
- The Kindle will load as a storage device called kindle on the Desktop (Mac) or My Computer (PC)
- Open the folder called documents located inside the kindle storage device
- Drag and drop the .mobi file to the documents folder on your Kindle

On Your Nook
To preview your book on your Nook device:
- Download the .epub file
- Connect your Nook to your computer and access it in Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (PC)
- Locate the folder My Nook > My Files > Books
- Drag and drop the .epub file to that folder
- Search your Nook Library for the book’s title
- Turn on Publisher Defaults
- Tap on the book’s page and a pop up menu will appear
- Click the text button (Aa) and switch on the Publisher Defaults

On Your Android
To preview your book on an Android device:
- Install the Aldiko Book Reader app for free
- Open the email we send with links to your preview files on your Android email app
- Click on the “epub” link to download the .epub file
- In the Aldiko app, go to Files > Download > the .epub file > Import
- Tap on the screen > Tt > More > Uncheck Advanced Formatting
If you prefer, you can also download the Amazon Kindle app for Android and read the .mobi file there.
